About King's Library Service

Library Services would like to welcome you to King’s College London and wish you all the best for your time here.

King’s has a world-class collection of both printed and electronic material comprising c900,000 books, more than 60,000 journal titles and nearly 700 databases, all searchable via Library Search.

There are six campus libraries providing information resources relevant to all the subjects taught locally. In addition we have a range of unique material available in our Archives and Special Collections.

Library Subject Guides

You can find out more about our support for your subject area by looking at our Library Subject Guides.  In each subject guide there is a ‘for faculty staff tab’ with information on all of the above topics, along with key ebooks, databases and ejournals for your subject.

Joining the Library

In order to access all the range of resources we offer, members of staff on the King’s payroll can join the library by using our Staff self-service registration using any computer.

Other staff should speak to a librarian at one of the libraries.

Senate House Library

All King’s staff and students also get free membership to Senate House Library, one of the largest humanities (and social science) focused research libraries in the UK.
