What is KLaSS?

KLaSS (King's Learning and Skills Service) is co-ordinated by Library Services with input from other areas of the university and offer a range of free activities so that you can succeed in your studies or research:

  • Academic writing and completing your dissertation
  • Critical thinking
  • Data analysis software such as SPSS and Nvivo
  • Enhancing your studies through technology
  • Literature searching
  • Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Notetaking and time management
  • Referencing, and bibliographic management software such as Desktop EndNote and RefWorks
  • Team working
  • Working with maths and statistics

Skills Hub is the new skills portal at King's that brings together information and resources on student skills development. Choose the skill you would like to enhance to find out more about the activities and tools that are on offer from central departments across the university.

A range of interactive activities to help students enhance their skills are available through our KLaSS e-learning. It's self-enrol and can be accessed 24/7 from on or off campus.
