Workshops

LIB226: Literature Searching for Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences takes place regularly in-person and online, for students who require help, advice and support to improve their searching skills and knowledge.

In this workshop we will cover the following key areas:

  • Planning and designing an effective search strategy
  • using Library Search to locate and access literature
  • identifying, accessing and using key NMES and multidisciplinary databases
  • effective use of search techniques e.g. phrase searching, truncation whilst searching
  • locating and accessing full text articles.
