Search for books

Most of our e-book collections can be found in Library Search. However, you might want to search these online book collections when:

  • You need recently published books. There is sometimes a lag between books being published online and records becoming available in Library Search.
  • You need to search inside the book. Library Search can match your search terms to a detailed description of the book. But searching the e-book platforms directly means you can search within the full text of the book as well.

Which library should I use?

Libraries have collections linked to particular subjects but are not restricted to any one group of students. For example a medical student can study at the Maughan Library or a Classics student at the Weston Education Centre. You can access them all with your King’s ID card.

Geography, international development, political economy and war and defence studies books are usually in:

Education, community and society books are usually in:

Global health and social medicine books are usually in:

You can see the subjects for each library on the map of subject collections.

Using other libraries

Reading lists

Whenever possible, core texts will be made available in e-book format and directly accessible through your Reading Lists.

Your reading list is on the KEATS module page, or you can search for your list using the search box.
