Welcome to the Library Loop, a blog from King’s Libraries & Collections. We’d like to invite you along on our journey towards a library service with the user at its heart.
On these pages, we’ll reflect on what you are telling us about our service, share what we’re trying out to improve it, and invite you to get involved. That could be as simple as submitting feedback on our webpage, or as involved as co-creating service improvements as a “Library Champion”. Or, of course, you could comment on this blog! While you’re here, why not subscribe? There will be something interesting to read at least once a month.
Occasionally we’ll share research from fields such as service design, user experience, or quality improvement. We’ll explore how insights from these and other fields may be used to inform our work at King’s libraries, embracing a questioning mindset.
We’ll be honest with you about things we’ve tried that haven’t worked, what we’ve learned, and which changes we’re making as a result in the next development cycle (or loop!). What we won’t be doing here is announcing upcoming changes to our service, for information on that please check https://www.kcl.ac.uk/library or follow us @KingsLibraries.
Expect to hear from a variety of Libraries & Collections voices, as well as students and other library users collaborating with us. Do subscribe and join the conversation; we really look forward to hearing from you.
Eve, Anna and Alan
