New User Interface for Leganto

A new and improved user interface for Leganto is now live.

What does this mean for me?

Although the reading list interface will look different, much of the functionality will remain the same. The layout has been modified to simplify
common tasks and is more user-friendly for both students and staff. Current lists are still be available, and there will be no changes to the URLs.

Training

Our guidance has been updated to reflect the new User Interface and is available on our KLaSS module: Building and Developing Your Reading List. Videos, including a recording of our Leganto workshop, will be updated and available in due course.

We will also be holding Building and Maintaining Your Reading Lists workshops, which will cover the new User Interface. Workshops are running for the following dates:

Friday 18 October                 11:00-12:00

Wednesday 23 October       15:00-16:00

Monday 28 October             12:00-13:00

The workshops can be booked through LibCal

Current Issues

Bookmarked reading lists

Currently, bookmarked reading lists may still be opening in the old user interface. While we work to resolve this issue, we recommend re-bookmarking any previously saved lists to ensure they open correctly in the new user interface.

Associating modules to reading lists

We are currently experiencing difficulties with linking modules to their associated reading lists. When attempting to link a module via the "Manage Link to Course" function, the connection is not being maintained, resulting in the link being lost. We have reported this issue to the software provider and are working towards a resolution. In the meantime, if you encounter any issues with associating or updating a module on a reading list, please contact the library at library@kcl.ac.uk.

Leganto Updates

Due to ongoing issues with students being unable to access PDF files uploaded to reading lists, we have had to make the decision to remove this editing option from Leganto.

If there is an article or book chapter that requires digitisation for your students and it is within copyright restrictions, please put through a digitisation request via Leganto and we will do our best to fulfil them.

Information on how to send digitisation requests to the library can be found on our KLaSS module: Building and Developing Your Reading List.
