The South London and Maudsley Trust Library

The South London and Maudsley Trust Library, based at Bethlem Hospital, serves staff and students on placement, supporting clinical practice, education, research and management decision-making. 

Staff and students affiliated with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust may be eligible for membership, which includes access to the collections, online resources, study skills and literature search support services.

In regards to resources their collections have an emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach, and they are particularly strong in the following areas:

  • Mental Health
  • Commissioning
  • Research
  • Healthcare Management
  • Public Health

Bethlem Museum of the Mind

The Bethlem Museum of the Mind records the lives and experience and celebrates the achievements of people with mental health problems. Due to the long history and association between the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, the Maudsley Hospital and the Bethlem Hospital (formerly Bedlam), much of the historic archival material and art collections will be of particular interest to academics, students and researchers.
