All Kings College Hospital staff can request support from the library team with your evidence search. This can include a member of our skilled team completing a search of the literature databases on your behalf or providing a briefer set of high quality resources such as evidence summaries.
The online request form will help you frame your question and consider the kind of evidence you require along with when you need it by.
A member of library staff will generally be in touch with you to discuss your request to ensure that it is appropriately managed.
The service is targeted particularly at searches that relate to patient care, service development and other decisions that are likely to impact larger numbers of patients (for example the development of new guidance or a patient safety initiative). If we are unable to help with your request we will be able to guide you to appropriate support options (this might be our skills training for those undertaking a study assignment).
Work with your librarians!
Health librarians and knowledge specialists ensure that decisions are based upon the best available evidence and encourage knowledge to be captured, shared and re-used.
Multiple benefits are possible for NHS staff and organisations when they work closely with health librarians and knowledge specialists:
Staff based at Denmark Hill should contact library@kcl.ac.uk or see alternative options on our Contact us page.
Staff based at PRUH and the south sites should contact kch-tr.br-library@nhs.net or call 01689 864 306
