Tailored talks and workshops

This form is for groups of at least four staff, working for either King’s College Hospital or Guy’s and St Thomas’ trusts, to request support for you and your NHS colleagues. Support must be requested at least six weeks in advance. After completing the form, KCL Libraries & Collections will be in touch to discuss your request in more detail.

Talks and workshops we regularly offer to NHS teams include:

  • Brief introduction to what the KCL Libaries & Collections can offer NHS staff
  • Rapid access to evidence-based resources - how to use the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub
  • Healthcare databases for Advanced Searchers
  • Introduction to Critical Appraisal of Quantitative Research or Qualitative Research

  • Health Literacy Awareness - King's College Hospital staff
  • Reflective Reading - King's College Hospital staff
  • Shut Up and Write! (social writing space facilitated by Clinical Library staff) - King's College Hospital staff

We can tailor the content of these sessions to best fit the needs of your group and can either come to you to deliver the teaching or can book a space within our libraries.

If there are fewer than four people in your group, please consider coming as a group to one of the scheduled sessions or see the support available at any time via the Finding Evidence elearning on the King’s Health Partners Learning Hub (your Trust login works on this site). The Training tab contains other materials and details of bookable online follow up appointments if you need further support.

Please note: for academics seeking to arrange a class for a student cohort studying at King's College London, a different form is used.
